Meet this weeks Campus Celebrity! Kenzie Kolanda, a junior from Massachusettes, is super involved on campus and holds a position as President of the Chi Omega Sorority. Keep on reading to learn more about Kenzie in this exclusive Her Campus interview!

Name: Kenzie Kolanda

Hometown: Sterling, MA

Major: Neuroscience

Year: Junior

Involvement on campus: I’m a member of Chi Omega, Order of Omega Honors Society, Seacoast Reads, and Project Sunshine

What is your favorite thing about being president of Chi Omega?

One of the cool things I got to do was visit our headquarters with the vice president Courtney Canniff! We got to go to a leadership conference for a weekend in Memphis, TN and meet people from our nationals and also all the other presidents and vice presidents from around the country.

Any advice for someone who wants to take a position in an organization?

Put yourself out there and try to get to know everyone in your organization. If you show people who you really are and they trust and respect you then it should work out if you want to take on a leadership role! Try to have a couple of role models that you can look up to and talk to for advice and help.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Somewhere warmer than where I am now and hopefully done with grad school. I want to go to school for physical therapy and work with kids in early intervention.

If you could pick next weeks Campus Celebrity who would you pick and why?

I would pick Erin O’Shea for the next Campus Celebrity. She is insanely motivated and is always looking for any opportunities to increase her success for the future. She is involved on campus and such a genuine person.

This is the general account for the University of New Hampshire chapter of Her Campus! HCXO!
