A Basic B*tches Guide To A Winter At UNH

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNH chapter.

The leaves are falling, the temperature is falling, and soon enough the snow will be falling. Another cold New England winter is on its way Wildcats, and we’ve got to prepare ourselves! And as much as us girls hate to admit it… we’re basic b*tches in the winter. And well… in the fall too. So why not embrace it! Its time to exchange your Northface vests, brown riding boots, and flannels for an entirely new and basic attire.

So here it is girls, the UNH basic b*tch guide to surviving a cold winter:

Well, first off for those of you who aren’t from New England… we aren’t kidding about our winters. They’re bad.

So, what you will need:

A long North Face Jacket

The snow starts piling up, and once the wind starts hitting your legs, you’ll appreciate the length. And you can match with every other girl on campus!!

LL Bean Boots

You’ll want something water proof for those mornings full of slush.

Hunter Rain Boots

If the Bean Boots don’t satisfy, get a pair of long Hunter Boots so no snow or slush gets down your boots. Or just settle for both!

A headband/ear-covering thingy

Once the cold winds start blowing you’re going to love this thing, whatever it is, it will keep your ears toasty.

Text enabling gloves

Trust me, you aren’t going to want to take your hands out of your gloves or pockets when walking around campus. So either don’t text until your destination, or get some text-able gloves!

Uggs

We hate them. We really, really hate them. But they are wicked warm, and easy to slip on.

Leg Warmers

Sometimes the boots just don’t do it! Leg warmers underneath your boots will keep your calves nice and toasty.
