1. Canvas Painting
This is a super fun and easy craft and all you need is a canvas and some paint.
You can use masking tape to create patterns or, my personal favorite, you
can put a cute cheesy quote that you know your friend will love.
2. Wine Glass Decorating
If you and your friend like wine, and chances are you do, then
decorating wine glasses is the perfect gift. All you need is some paint for glass
and your friend (and a bottle of wine.)
3. Stay In Movie Night
Have your friend pick out a movie, on you of course, and bring tons of goodies.
Nothing like staying in and stuffing your face full of
food while watching a romantic comedy with your best friend.
4. Collage
If you have facebook, Intsagram, and a phone then chances are you
have a TON of pictures. So why not bring out your creative side and put together a
collage of pictures of you and your friend to put in a cute frame.
5. Homemade Lip Gloss
I don’t know about you but I have a slight obsession with lip gloss
and the fact that I can make one for my friend, ahem and for myself, is awesome!
Ingredients
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
1 Tablespoon Petroleum Jelly
1 Tablespoon Aloe Vera Gel
1 1/2 teaspoons Coconut Oil
Directions
Heat ingredients together in a double-boiler and pour into jars, let cool.
6. Homemade Bubblebath
I mean, who doesn’t like to take a long relaxing bubble bath?
Just mix these ingredients and put them in a fancy bottle and you’re good to go.
Ingredients
1 cup mild shampoo (baby shampoo) or a mild dish soap
1/3 cup Glycerin (found at any drug store)
2 Tablespoons of Water
Essential Oil (optional)
7. Coffee Tumbler
Now this isn’t just any coffee tumbler, it’s a coffee tumbler full of gift
certificates to the best coffee places on campus. Aroma Joes or Dunkin anyone?
8. FOOD
We all know that the true way to a friend’s heart is through their stomach.
I would be perfectly happy if someone bought me a pizza
and made me some homemade cookies for my birthday. Is that bad?
9. Glitter Dipped Coffee Mug
Now I love coffee, but coffee in a glitter mug? Can it get any better???
Supplies
glitter
decoupage, gloss finish
mug
painters’ tape
brush
Directions
1. Clean off your mug with rubbing alcohol.
2. Add a line of painters tape where you’d like your glitter to stop. There should be atleast an inch of mug above the tape.
3. Brush a coat of decoupage onto the mug where you want the glitter.
4. Pour glitter over mug until it is coated in glitter to your desire.
5. Remove painters tape immediately, DO NOT touch the glitter
6. Set cup non-glitter side down to dry overnight.
7. Brush loose pieces of glitter off of the cup.
8. Add a coat of decoupage only over the glittered side, let it dry overnight.
9. Add a second coat of decoupage, let it dry overnight once again.
10. Let the mug cure a week before using it, and DO NOT put it in the dishwasher for atleast a month. This is very important.
