Meagan Elaine Bellamy, Campus Cutie

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNCW chapter.

Name: Meagan Elaine Bellamy

Year: Senior

Major: Theatre Performance

Hometown: Rockingham, NC

Relationship status: I am currently a single lady!

HC: What is your greatest aspiration in life? Where do you hope to see yourself in five years time?

MB: My greatest aspiration is to teach theater to children who are deaf or children who have been diagnosed with autism. I see myself living in New York City acting and working with children in theater.

HC: What is your favorite type of food?

MB: I love Italian food. Fettuccine is probably my favorite thing to eat on this planet.

HC: If you could be any fictional character, who would it be and why?

MB: I would want to be Brienne of Tarth from Game of Thrones. She is seriously one of the most badass characters on television and she doesn’t let the fact that she’s a woman stand in her way of her duties of honor. She is constantly berated for being “a woman in a man’s world” but then she gets up there and fights better than any man she’s up against. That’s why I would love to be Brienne.

HC: Who is your celebrity crush?

MB: I will forever and always have a crush on Niall Horan from One Direction. Also, Margot Robbie will hold a piece of my heart as well.

HC: If you could go on a date with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?

MB: I love to laugh and I think that having a great sense of humor is attractive so I would say young Robin Williams would be a great person to go on a date with.

HC: What is your ideal date?

MB: My ideal date would probably be going to an outdoors concert and just jamming out to good music and grabbing a bite to eat afterward and just having a genuinely amazing time.

HC: What advice do you have for underclassmen at UNCW who may be nervous about dating in college?

MB: My biggest piece of advice about dating in college would be to just be yourself without being apologetic. You are who you are and if someone doesn’t like you for that, kick them to the curb. Be yourself and be safe. Stick to your intuition and do what you know is best for you regardless of what others say. Dating in college can be scary but as long as you stick true to who you truly are, you can’t go wrong.
