10 BFF Activities for Spring

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNCW chapter.

Here are some super fun activities for you and your BFF to do in Wilmington to finish this semester out in the best, most fun way possible!

  1. Go shopping downtown Downtown Wilmington has some of the best shopping. Check out cute boutiques for the perfect new warm weather outfit! Make sure you finish your shopping day with a delicious meal, I recommend the Mac and Cheese at Fork and Cork and for dessert, some ice cream from Kilwins.

2. Britts Donuts Arrive early to avoid waiting in a long line and indulge in some of the world’s best donuts for only $1!

3. Study date at Bitty and Beaus The end of the semester also means finals are approaching so head over to Bitty and Beaus for incredible coffee and a wonderful experience. Bitty and Beaus is a great place to study because there is plenty of seating and there is even a study room if you need some peace and quiet!

4. Go to the Fort Fisher Aquarium

Drive over to Fort Fisher and go check out the fish! Our local aquarium is only a 30-45-minute drive away and it’s guarantees a fun-filled day.

5. Boombalattis  The best homemade ice cream that has ever existed. Conveniently located right across from Mayfaire and not too far from the beach. Must I say more?

6. Camping on Carolina beach This is definitely a bucket list item for Wilmington. Get your best group of friends together and go make Carolina Beach home for the night.

7. Take the ferry to Southport

First of all, ferries are the coolest. Second of all, check out the cutest beach town and filming location of Safe Haven on a pretty spring day.

8. Sunrise at WB- Wrightsville Beach has some of the best sunrises I have ever seen. Go early, coffee in hand and say good morning to the world!

9. The OTH tour – how lucky are we to live in the place where One Tree Hill came from! You can easily look up the different locations frequently seen in One Tree Hill like Brooke’s home, the famous bridge from the opening song, and even Karen’s café. What a perfect photo opportunity.

10. Go to Airlie Gardens! For those of us who love flowers, spring has sprung at Airlie Gardens. Dress in your best floral outfit, grab a camera and go be among the flowers.
