Halloween Fun for Homebodies

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNCG chapter.

There can be sooo many components when it comes to making plans to celebrate Halloween. Not only do you have to come up with a clever costume, but you also have to find out about all the events, find out about parties taking place, and coordinate with friends. Any self proclaimed homebody knows this can all be too much to put together (especially with knowing that when the night finally arrives you’d much rather be snuggled in bed watching Netflix). Here are a few ways you can celebrate and stay festive all without leaving your house.

1. Movie Night

Halloween is the perfect occasion for a movie night, there are thousands of options to keep everyone on the edge of their seats and afraid of the dark all night. Invite all of your favorite people over, grab snacks, and watch one of the many movie marathons taking place such as AMC’s FearFest.

2. Dinner Night

There are lots of fun Halloween themed food dishes that can be found on pinterest. Get your friends together for a Halloween themed potluck to go along with movie night! Here are a few ideas to get started:

Candy Corn Punch

Jack O’ Lantern Chips and Dip

Severed Fingers

3. Carve a Pumpkin

Yes, it may seem old fashioned. But is it really Halloween if there isn’t a pumpkin around every corner you turn? If you’re like me and enjoy cooking then you can look forward to roasting some delicious pumpkin seeds!
