Q: What is your major?

A: Consumer Apparel and Retail Studies

Q: What made you choose that major?

A: I love fashion and I’ve never been interested in the designing clothing but I’ve wanted to be a part of the fashion industry and this major teaches me about the business side.

Q: What kind of job do you want your education to lead you to?

A: I want to work in a corporate office for some of the biggest fashion brands and work behind the scenes to make visual presentations to attract customers.

Q: Why do you think UNCG is a good fit for you?

A: UNCG is a good fit for me because the professors are great and the school has the perfect amount of students. Also the school is very diverse and I think it is important to be able to comfortably work with people who don’t look like you.

Q: What are some of your most disliked fashion faux pas?

A: When people wear wrinkly shirts.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

A: In the next 10 years, I see myself living in a big city with my husband. I see myself having the job of my dreams working at Urban Outfitter’s helping work with the product assortment and helping choose apparel to be sold in the store.

Q: Do you have any tips for incoming freshman in your major?

A: Get close to your professors, they are really helpful! Pay attention and be active in discussions in class.
