1. Enjoy a Knights’ Baseball Game

Just in time for that tinder date you’ve been wanting to try out or just in need of a girls night, the Knights Baseball team is back! Enjoy Thirsty Thursdays at the ballpark with 3$ domestic drafts and 1$ sodas. Tickets to these games are super cheap and so much fun! Friday games even include a firework show.

2. Brewery hop around SouthEnd

Some common breweries around the Charlotte area include: Olde Mecklenburg, Heist, NoDa, Birdsong, Triple C, and Sycamore. Another option is the Charlotte Brews Cruise, these take place on Saturdays for 50$ and include a lot of bang for your buck.

3. POPBAR in NoDa

Pop on over to NoDa to enjoy a fresh yogurt or gelato popsicle at Popbar! (This is also a super cute place to shoot that new twitter avi… just saying)

4. UNCC Botanical Gardens

Usually a place for prom photo ops but could also be a great idea for a Sunday afternoon. Located on UNC Charlotte’s campus the botanical garden is beautiful and free to enjoy!

5. Lazy 5 Ranch

If you don’t mind the drive to Mooresville, Lazy 5 Ranch is a zoo type experience for a pretty cheap price. You have the option to ride through the zoo or they also have wagons. Again, a great place for instapics.

6. Piedmont Social House

Get your girls together for the Piedmont Social House, it’s located in the South CLT area and is so much fun! From bowling to billiards they’ve got it all… not to mention a Friday special of a bottled beer + a shot for 7.99$ that is hard to beat. https://www.piedmontsocial.com/events/

7. Latta Plantation

Perfect for a warm afternoon, Latta Plantation located in Huntersville, NC is a historic cotton plantation. Included in the plantation area is the Carolina Raptor Center, hiking trails, swimming areas, and a tour of the plantation home.

8. Pelicans SnoBalls

With over 100 flavors, Pelican’s snoballs are super cheap and super yummy. My favorite flavor is blue bubblegum.

9. A Checkers Game

If you’re opting for an inside type of activity, the Charlotte Checkers Hockey games are awesome. College nights are on Wednesday’s and include a 1$ Bud Light Draft… you heard me, a 1$ Bud Light Draft.

10. Food Truck Friday

Food? I’m in. Food Truck Fridays are located in Plaza Midwood and the Historic South End of Charlotte. This would be a cute date night idea or a fun night out with friends!

11. OMB Yoga on Tap

Of course there are lots of places to get your yoga on around the CLT but why not include beer in the activity?! Olde Mecklenburg Brewery hosts a yoga class every Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30. Worried you can’t touch your toes? The complimentary beer may help!

12. Duck Donuts

Everyone knows the “instaworthy” donuts you always see on your timeline… Well here they are! Located in the Kenilworth Commons.

13. Southside Area

1600 Montford Drive is always poppin’ Thursday- Saturday. Including Oak room, Slate, Angry Ales, Brazwells, and many more! This area has drink specials you can’t beat if you’re getting tired of the uptown scene… and yes, they have trash cans.

14. Benny’s Pizza in NoDa

Benny’s is known for their GIANT pizzas! You have to try it, you just have to.

15. Romare Bearden Park in Uptown

A 5.4 acre park located in the center of uptown is the perfect spot for an afternoon in the city. Beginning in May, the park has live concerts every wednesday evening from 6-9pm.

16. Taste of Charlotte in June

June 9th through the 11th, Taste of Charlotte is a three day festival including over 100 samples from CLT restaurants. Live music is included in the event and it’s FREE!! The event takes up six blocks in uptown from Tryon to Stonewall St.

17. North Davidson (NoDa)

Channel your inner hipster by visiting North Davidson Street in Charlotte. NoDa is known as the historic art and music district. Enjoy various bars and restaurants, local vendors, smelly cat coffee, and much more.

18. Epicenter

The Uptown Charlotte Epicenter is the legit center of CLT activities. It has everything from Gold’s Gym, Bowling, Smoothie King, or Kandy Bar.

19. Running on the Greenway

The Little Sugar Creek Greenway is a 19 mile long area with trails! It is a great place to go if you’re trying to get your workout on!

20. The Boardwalk by UNCC

The Boardwalks at UNC Charlotte are a super fun place to spend a saturday at! Restaurants like Famous Toastery, Boardwalk Billy’s, Ciro’s Italian, any many more. There are also paddle boats, an ice cream place, a wine vault, and a lot of shops!
