Sunday, March 27, 2011
When:
Friday, April 1, 2011 - 10:00pm

CAB Comedy Friday will be hosting one of the biggest names in comedy, Joel McHale on Friday, April 1 at the IMU. Host of E! Television’s hit show The Soup and star of NBC’s Community, McHale has made quite a name for himself in the entertainment industry. He has also starred in a variety of box office hits opposite big name actors like Matt Damon in The Informant!, and Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco in Spiderman 2.
Although McHale has had success within both television and cinema, The Soup has certainly been his most acclaimed achievement. A weekly television series, McHale provides a live audience with sarcastic and sometimes even crude commentary on the best pop culture and television show moments of the week. Averaging around 1 million viewers a week, the show has certainly done well for itself and has quickly boosted McHale’s career. In the upcoming months, McHale will star in several feature films including The Big Year opposite Steve Martin, Jack Black, and Owen Wilson, and What’s Your Number? with Anna Faris.
Aside working on television and the big screen, McHale also spends time traveling the country and giving live stand up comedy performances.
Be sure to pick up tickets now and be a part of what is sure to be a great show! Tickets are available at the IMU University Box Office for an impossibly cheap price of only $5 dollars. The show starts at 10:00 and doors open at 9:30. Even better, if you want a chance at getting front row seats, early admission will be given to anyone that brings a canned food item for donation! Hope to see you there!
