Tory Vejseli, a self taught balayage guru and hair extension specialist, seems to be getting a lot of positive attention on social media these days. Vejseli started as a hairstylist at Life Spa and Salon located in Algonquin, IL. Before launching her own hair products, Torys normal day at work consisted of an abundance of hair extension and balayage appointments.
But what exactly is balayage? Its a French word that means to sweep or paint. Its a technique that gives your hair a softer, more natural look.
Her rise to fame was when popular beauty icons started to notice her work on Instagram, Lilly Ghalichi was one to repost one of Vejseli’s pictures. Soon after, Tory noticed a surplus of followers and cliental. With all of this attention, Vejseli decided it was time to launch her own line of beauty products. Her line offers a wide range of hair extensions, flat irons, and curling wands that Tory uses herself.
I was able to sit down with Tory Vejseli, where she also revamped my own locks, and I was able to ask her a few questions about her products, and future as a growing hairstylist.
HC: What do you love most about doing hair?
TV: I’ve always had my mind set on doing hair, I absolutely love how I can enhance my clients personal style through cut, color, styling and hair extensions!
HC: What are upcoming hair trends?
TV: Baby lights, subtle sun kissed highlights that create a very natural looking color, while still offering dimension and radiance.
HC: How has ToryV hair products changes your business?
TV: It gives me the ability to connect with people from all over the world and have them use ToryV Hair products on themselves to create hairstyles they can achieve at home.
HC: What are some upcoming events you’re excited for?
TV: Doing hair for a fitness expo, the 2015 Olympia in Vegas.
