Get excited for fall with festive drinks. Just because summer is gone and the bitter cold days of winter are ahead of us doesn’t mean we have to stop enjoying some of our favorite summer smoothies. What better way to enjoy summer smoothies in the fall than by adding a little twist of all of your fall favorites like cranberries, pumpkins, and chai tea. These are some simple and yummy recipes that you might want to try for yourselves this fall season.

Pumpkin Chai Breakfast Smoothie

Pumpkin is a fall staple. As soon as someone mentions the word pumpkin, most people will fantasize about the incredibly festive and delicious Pumpkin Spice Latte that seems to pop up just about everywhere when fall comes around. This is a different take to pumpkin flavored drinks.  Chai tea is a great drink for the morning. It has a certain zing and spice. You just simply can’t go wrong when you combine two fantastic flavors.  I have tried this amazing recipe and I was extremely satisfied with the way it turned out. It tasted like pumpkin pie and happiness. I am in love with this smoothie and will for sure be making it more than a couple of times this season. Here is the simple Pumpkin Chai Breakfast smoothie that will make your mornings a bit more exciting.

 Ingredients

¾ cup milk (or any milk substitute of your choice)

½ cup of black tea (brewed and chilled)

½  cup pumpkin puree

½ cup soft silken tofu (substitute with 1 ripe banana if that is preferred)

½ tablespoon of maple syrup

½  teaspoon of vanilla extract

½ teaspoon of cinnamon

¼  teaspoon ground ginger

1/8 teaspoon cardamom

Dash of ground cloves

All you have to do is combine the ingredients and blend until it reaches your desired consistency. For the best flavor serve it cold.

Fall Green Smoothie

Nothings feels as amazing as eating healthy and liking it. This smoothie uses both kale and fruit as ingredients. It is one of the easiest smoothies because it has only five ingredients. On days that I finally get motivated to work out, I like to start my morning right. I have always wanted to try and make a super green juice or a smoothie which tasted amazing as well, and this smoothie is just what I was looking for. The trick with this smoothie is to use the best ingredients. The freshest and ripest kale, bananas, pears, and grapes will make this smoothie perfect.

Ingredients

2 cups of milk (or any milk substitute of your choice)

2 cups of kale

1 cup of diced pear

1 cup of grapes

1 banana*

* you can add a little or a lot of banana depending on how sweet you want your smoothie.

All you have to do is blend these ingredients. I recommend you start at a lower setting and then steadily increase it until you reach the highest setting. Make sure it is blended well and enjoy when completed.

Cranberry Orange Smoothie

This smoothie is packed with vitamin C. It is incredibly refreshing and is perfect for the fall. The cranberries add a delicious tart flavor and are well balanced by the sweet citrus. This is also another recipe that doesn’t require a lot of ingredients. It’s a great breakfast smoothie to boost your immune system and combat illnesses that may plague you with the oncoming cold weather.

Ingredients*

1 ½ peeled oranges (approximately 4 oranges)

1 cup of cranberries (I used frozen berries but fresh berries can work as well)

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

*I added a slice of ginger to add a little kick. Ginger is also super amazing and has numerous health benefits.

Now blend everything up and enjoy it once it is all completely blended.
