Before you go making your Christmas wish list, be sure to remember that this is, in fact, the season of giving. Think about how you can give some of your time, love, and warmth to those in need this holiday season.  Don’t forget to think about your loved ones as well, and of course reward yourself by asking Santa for some of the best season’s goodies!

The Salvation Army

Whether it is serving food, asking for donations, or donating your own time and money, any little extra help you can give others during the holidays is appreciated. How can you enjoy Christmas with your family knowing that others might not even get a hot Christmas dinner, or a child won’t have anything under the tree to open? The Salvation Army is extremely active in making these two things not happen; donate any clothes you have or a toy that a child can play with on Christmas morning. It will make not only others happy, but yourself as well!

Toys for Tots

Make a little tots Christmas morning by having a toy for them under the tree. Toys for tots makes that easy, you can donate a toy to one of the hundreds of Toys for Tots donation centers around the Chicago area.
