We’ve all heard the expression, “You are the master of your own fate,” but how many of us actually believe in this expression? Over the past few years, I have come to realize how important it is to control your emotions. There are always going to be bad days and times when you just CANNOT control your emotions, but on a day to day basis remember you control your emotions.

Be the person who everyone thinks is the happiest person around. When a bad situation comes your way, you have the ability to change how you see the situation. Choose positivity. If you begin to choose to see the positive side of things, to not dwell on the negative, soon you will see vast improvements in all aspects of your life. Maybe you fell down the stairs today, but at least you have the ability to fall down and get back up again. Every bad thing can be turned into something brighter. As Hannah Montana once told us, life is what you make it (so let’s make it rock).

Embrace the positive vibes in your life and hold onto them for as long as you can. You don’t have to be the happiest person on the planet, but the smallest change will be noticed. Sharing your positivity with others will only improve your own positivity. Think it, see it, and believe in it. Do what makes you happy, you are the only one living this short life. Learn to make the best of every situation just by changing how you view it.

People always tell me, “You get so happy about the smallest things,” but isn’t that how it should be? If you appreciate the smaller things in life, like a cloudless day, you will live a much more fulfilling life. Focus all your energy on positivity and the final outcome.

Choose Positivity.
