What could be better to lighten up one of the least favorite days of the week, than makeovers and beauty products? Our city offers many beauty events multiple days a week and it is up to us to take advantage of these.
The girls of Her Campus UIC had a day of beauty at a Pretty City event at Flirty Girl Fitness in Lincoln Park. For only $30 for tickets, we received goody bags filled with full-sized products and a chance to try numerous beauty services. Upon walking in to the very pink Flirty Girl Fitness we are greeted with a free martini and manicure. After getting our makeup done we grabbed a treat from Sugar Bliss Cupcakes and begin to explore the services from multiple vendors. We received a massage and some sort of hot candle like wax poured onto our hands that left them soft and glowing. Surprisingly we could have even gotten Botox on the spot if we felt inclined at a mobile beauty station. After I got my hair perfectly curled I was welcomed to a new salon with $40 in gift cards. Once we got our eyebrows waxed with a lovely European purple wax we knew that the amount of free services we were offered, and coupons to keep the beauty flowing, completely exceeded the amount of the entrance fee. We even received a free class at Flirty Girl Fitness to get our bodies equally as beautiful as the rest of us after today.
