What made you want to come to UGA?

I came to UGA for the prestige and the dorms. If I knew it was this hot, I would not have come.

What is your favorite part about attending UGA?

My favorite part about attending UGA is East Campus Village. It feels like a smaller campus that is easier for me to handle. My friends also live in east campus so I can walk to their dorms within minutes.

What is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on campus is on the way to the science learning center. There are these bench like seats that form a half circle right across from the creamery that I can just lay down on before my biology class. There are a lot of mosquitos though.

Least Favorite?

My least favorite place is Bolton. It is always really crowded and their bread is really hard. It is also just too big for me it is hard to keep a table and go and get food when you are going all over the place.

Why did you decide to major in psychology?

I chose to major is psychology because I want to help people and make sure people don’t have to feel pain. I feel like a lot of people in this world suffer and they don’t talk about it. I want to do something to change that. I was really inspired by Robin Williams character in Good Will Hunting after I saw the movie I was like. “I want to do that.”

What organizations are you involved with on campus?

I am not involved in any organizations as of now and probably for a long while. I spend a lot of time doing homework and spending time with my friends that I don’t know if I have time right now to be a part of something.

What’s one experience that you’ve had at UGA so far that has impacted you the most?

What impacted me the most was when I was running late to class and got on a bus and the bus driver turned around and said “Yeah, you should probably get off”. This has changed my entire idea of buses and their reliability. It seems that it takes me just as long to walk so that’s what I do now.

What are your plans after graduation and later in life?

I want to become a therapist who helps people with their problems. Hopefully, I will be settled on later in life with kids and a spouse of some kind.

Favorite quote?

My favorite quote is “Cetus Lupeedus” from Zenon. It really represents my situation at every point in my life.

If you could trade places with any fictional character, who would it be?

If I could trade places with a fictional character, it would be Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. She just seems to have it all and is fairly optimistic. She also has powers and a loving family. But let’s not forget Harvey.

Feminist Icon?

My feminist icon is Charlize Theron. Her movie Atomic Blonde was amazing. She makes a women look powerful whist still maintaining her femininity.

Quentin Tarantino?

Quentin Tarantino is a director. He directed pulp fiction. I don’t like that movie.

Sam is getting her degree in Film Studies at UGA. She hopes to continue writing entertainment reviews and comedy nonsense after graduation. She's always got a latte in hand and can be seen practicing handstands all around campus.
