Meet Brazil Fagan, this week’s campus celebrity!
A Management Information Systems major from College Park, GA, she can usually be found at the Snelling Dining hall serving up a smile and great service. Outside of work Brazil is involved in numerous clubs and activities on campus and is a freshman at the University of Georgia. Brazil is the all-around UGA student and deserves to be recognized for her accomplishments!
Though the University of Georgia wasn’t exactly her first choice, Brazil ultimately decided to commit to the G once she was offered the HOPE Scholarship.
“I was provided with the HOPE scholarship and the overall experience, however, the University of Miami was my first choice,” she says. “I’m glad that I picked UGA in the end.”
On top of being a pre-business major, Brazil is heavily involved in a few of the numerous organizations found on campus.
“I work with UGA food services, I’m an active member of Black Affairs Council and Alpha Phi Omega Pledge,” she says. “I’m also with Ally for Amnesty International and I’m a Service Ambassador and a member of the Lambda Alliance.”
Brazil may be involved in a numerous amount of clubs and activities, but there happens to be one organization that she says is pretty close to her heart.
“I would say Black Affairs Council is close to my heart,” she tells us. “The main reason is that I enjoy being a part of it is the discussions and being able to hear different viewpoints about various prominent issues in America.”
A freshman with many opportunities to look forward to, Brazil is mostly excited about being able to explore the city of Athens and create new memories with new people.
“I’m looking forward to having a little more time to explore new places, new people, and experiencing new memories.”
