6 Signs You Might Be a Hoarder

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UGA chapter.

So you watch those shows on TLC about hoarders and wonder if that’s the path that your life is leading you to. Check too many of these off the list, and it might be you on the next episode.

1. You are way too attached to your clothing.

“But I wore this shirt when I got my first kiss, I have to keep it.”

2. “It’s not hoarding, it’s being frugal.”

The first step to recovery is denial.

3. You tell yourself you’ll make a scrapbook of all your old photos one day.

But then you realize all the work you have to put into that.

4. “I don’t know where I would put this, but I just need this.”

Right, you’ll find a place for it when you redecorate.

5. Your pantry looks like you’re ready to survive The Walking Dead.

There’s stuff in there that expired in 2005 and you didn’t even live here in 2005.

6. “I am a collector.”

Yes, you collect everything.
