17 Times Salem Saberhagen Was Every College Student

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UGA chapter.

Everyone remembers lovable Salem Saberhagen, the witch turned cat, from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Salem was sarcastic, melodramatic and hilarious which added a nice touch to the otherwise flawless TV show. Voiced by Nick Bakay, who also wrote for the show, Salem was always there for Sabrina while also scamming his own plot lines whether it be having a water balloon fight with the Spellman’s neighbors or having flashbacks of when he was a witch trying to take over the world. Now that we’re all older and (maybe) a little wiser, we can truly appreciate Salem’s bitter attitude towards life. Here are 17 times that Salem Saberhagen could have just been a regular college student.

When your professor calls on you during your 8 a.m. class…

When you hate your part-time job, but can’t quit because you need the money…

When you finally get to brunch on Sunday after a long week of classes…

When someone asks you to do literally anything on a weekday…

When you forgot you had an assignment due at 11:59 p.m….

When it’s finally Friday and your friends tell you that you’re leaving to go out in 30 minutes…

When you try to comfort a friend…

When you need comfort from a friend…

When you bring up feminism any chance you get…

When you have to take care of your friends after a night of partying…

When you binge watch Netflix for 10 hours straight instead of doing homework…

When your group-mates don’t do their part of the project…

When you’re too busy for self grooming…

When you finally get to the dining hall after a long day…

When you see freshmen on campus…

When you finally get your test grade back…

When it’s finally the weekend…

You gotta love Salem’s outlook on life.
