UFashion: We’re Mad for Mod

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

I’ve been fashion obsessed since my mother bought me my first dress at OshKosh B’Gosh before my first birthday. I believe fashion is good for the soul. It’s a way to express your emotions or convey an important message. Since my mantra has always been “dress for success,” I truly believe when you’re confident in what you’re wearing, good feeling will shine through. This blog is an outlet to share my love of fashion with the world while keeping you updated on the latest fashion trends and where to find them for cheap! I mean, we are college students, after all.

So, be fashion-forward this winter break and travel back in time to the modera of the 1960s! Mod (stemming from modernist) originated in London in the late ’50s, but popular TV shows like Pan Am and Mad Men have inspired the revival of the Mod Age.

One of the most accentuated features of the mod trend is tassels. Tassel accessories are the perfect way to add a touch of vintage into your wardrobe. This holiday season, try gold tassel earrings to add that extra sparkle into your New Year’s ensemble or dress up a casual Christmas dinner outfit with a tassel cross-body bag.
