DIY Face Masks for All Skin Types

Do you love skincare products but don’t want to pay the price that comes with them? Don’t worry, there’s still hope for you because there’s a way you can create skincare products for way cheaper than what you’d usually spend. . Most skincare products contain all natural ingredients, so give it a shot, and try to make your own! Here are some DIY face mask ideas for all skin types.

Dry

Dry skin can vary from slight flaking to cracking of the skin, which can be extremely painful. While these masks cannot heal severe dry skin, they can definitely keep the skin moist and soothed.

Honey & Avocado Mask

Honey soothes dry skin while avocado is rich in essential oils to moisturize.

Step 1: Mash half an avocado, add a teaspoon of honey and mix well.

Step 2: Apply to face, and let sit for 15 minutes.

Step 3: Wipe it off with a cold washcloth.

Milk, Honey & Aloe Vera Mask

Milk hydrates and protects the skin, and aloe vera serves as an antibacterial.

Step 1: Add honey and aloe vera to milk, and mix well. Optional: Add a few drops of olive oil.

Step 2: Apply to face, and let sit for 15 minutes.  

Step 3: Rinse with warm water.

Oily

Oily skin symptoms are probably the most annoying to have. No matter how many times you wash your face, it is oily within minutes. While these masks can only temporarily aid oily skin, they can keep the oil away longer.

Oatmeal, Honey and Yogurt

Oatmeal works as a natural absorbent, honey kills bacteria and yogurt cleanses pores.

Step 1: Mix a teaspoon of oatmeal, honey and yogurt.

Step 2: Apply to face in a circular motion using fingertips. Let sit for 5 minutes.

Step 3: Rinse off with warm water and then cold water to close pores. Pat dry.

Baking soda, Honey & Lemon Mask

Baking soda unclogs pores, honey cleanses skin and lemon disinfects.

Step 1: Mix half a teaspoon of baking soda and lemon juice and one  teaspoon of honey.

Step 2: Apply to face, and let sit for 2 minutes. NOTE: Short time because it can burn the  skin

Step 3: Rinse thoroughly, and pat dry.

Sensitive

Oatmeal, Honey & Avocado Mask

Oatmeal gently exfoliates, and honey and avocado moisturize.

Step 1: Mash half an avocado,  add a teaspoon of honey and oatmeal and mix well.

Step 2: Apply to face, and let sit for 15 minutes.

Step 3: Rinse thoroughly with warm and then cold water.

Chamomile & Honey Mask

Chamomile works as an anti-inflammatory and honey moisturizes.

Step 1: Take 2 teabags of chamomile tea, and mix with well with honey.

Step 2: Apply to face, and let sit for 20 minutes.

Step 3: Rinse thoroughly with warm and then cold water.
