Campus Style: Bohemian Vibe

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

Thanks to maxi skirts and crop tops, casual has never looked better.

Join our fandom-loving UF fashionista, Rachel Collins, on her adventure towards wearing clothing that’s reflective of one’s personality and, most important of all, comfy AF.

Name: Rachel Collins

Age: 18

Year: Freshman

Major: Business and International Studies

Her Campus: What are you wearing and where is it from?

Rachel Collins: “My shirt is from Aeropostale: it was three bucks and on sale. The maxi skirt is from Charlotte Russe!”

HC: What are your favorite stores or boutiques?

RC: “I like really grungy places, and I also really like PINK and Hot Topic. I go to Urban Outfitters a lot as well. I found a sloth onesie there, and every day I wake up and look into the mirror, full of regret at not having bought this sloth onesie! I really like novelty things, pieces with character or musical references.”

HC: What’s your most-loved wardrobe piece at the moment?

RC: “I have a Gator onesie that’s super soft, but the best thing I have is for the holiday season… It’s a blue sweater and it has a menorah, with the words “Lit” right on top of the menorah. (The backstory here is that I’m Jewish.) So mostly my novelty shirts, Harry Potter shirts and a Jekyll and Hyde shirt.”

HC: How would you describe your personal style as?

RC: “I would say cozy, novelty-themed (also fandom-related) and very personality driven. I just wear whatever’s comfortable.”

HC: Okay, last question of the day! What’s your style advice for Gator gals reading this?

RC: “My advice would be: don’t be afraid to be weird because no one actually cares! You look at someone’s outfit for two seconds and then go about your day, so don’t worry about what other people think.”
