It is often difficult to find the time to make pre-prepared meals for campus, and getting up two hours earlier every morning just to cook and clean can often just be too much. Most students are simply not prepared to do this. We want to be healthy, but also enjoy some lekker food that makes our day just a little bearable. Here are five Monday to Friday meals that are easy to prep and incredible to eat. Bon appétit.

Monday: Buddha Bowl

https://tasty.co/recipe/buddha-bowl-meal-prep . Sometimes we need to trick our minds into being more health conscious and Buddha Bowls are the best way to go. A Buddha bowl gives you all the nutrition you need in each meal and they are so simple to make. By adding an ingredient like feta or chicken, the Buddha Bowl will be instantly changed. This is also great for vegetarians.

Tuesday: Banana Bread Oatmeal

https://tasty.co/recipe/banana-bread-instant-oatmeal . Thinking of oats for breakfast often reminds us of those school mornings when our moms would wake us up early to eat breakfast. Stumbling with sleep in your eyes to the kitchen counter just to find plain ass oats. No More. This instant oat recipe combines the great flavours of banana bread to make those Monday Blues disappear, or should I say Tuesday Blues. The banana bread oatmeal will keep you fuller for longer and will take no longer than 5 minutes to prep.

Wednesday: Chicken Teriyaki Stir-fry

https://tasty.co/recipe/weekday-meal-prep-chicken-teriyaki-stir-fry . This stir-fry recipe is honestly my favourite one! Not only does this recipe make stir-fry simple, the recipe also adds some killer flavours. A tip: You can swap out the noodles in your stir-fry for rice or couscous, giving you three different meals for one cooking experience.

Thursday: One-Tray Pasta

https://tasty.co/recipe/one-tray-alfredo-pasta. We all love a good pasta. Prepping a pasta is perfect because you can make the pasta well in advance and just add other ingredients in later. Pasta is perfect for campus because you can make cold pasta which means no microwaves needed. You’re welcome. This recipe gives you four different pasta options, depending on your pasta preferences.

Friday: Chicken and Avo Wrap

https://gimmedelicious.com/2016/03/05/crispy-chicken-and-avocado-wraps/ .Why pay Panda land for a wrap when you can just make one at home? I call it Wrap Friday’s. You already have most of the ingredients for making wraps in your kitchen, so it won’t break the bank #saving. Not only is a wrap good on any day at any time, but it’s quick to make. Make your wrap exactly how you like it- your wrap can be gourmet, with crumbed chicken strips, grated carrots and feta or it can be a simple wrap- grilled chicken breast cut into pieces, lettuce, avocado, cheddar cheese and mayo. No matter how you like your wrap- prepping, it will take just as long as eating it (wink, wink).
