Cooking Pumpkins without the Pie

Everyone loves pumpkin pie but pumpkin is also great in a variety of other sweet and savory dishes. As a bonus all of these dishes are cheap and super easy to make!

 

 

 

1.) Pumpkin Brownies

A combination of two of the most loved desserts of all time: pumpkin pie and brownies. There are ways of making this from scratch and out of the box. Like any brownies these can easily be customized by adding nuts, sprinkles or chocolate chips!

2.) Pumpkin Curry

Pumpkin curry is a super delicious Thai dish that can be made with chicken or tofu. The tofu version is great if you are cooking one meal for lots of people with a wide range of diets because it is vegan and gluten free.

3.) Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

If you are already making a dish that requires a the flesh of a pumpkin why not utilize the seeds as well and make a yummy snack. Roasted pumpkin seeds are a healthy snack that can be made to anyone’s taste, sweet or savory. The basic recipe remains the same but different flavors like curry or cinnamon sugar can be added to your liking.
