10 Stages We All Go Through During Thanksgiving Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSD chapter.

Thanksgiving Break is both a blessing and a curse. It’s the beginning of the Holiday Season and an excuse to eat great food and see your family again, but it also means that Finals are coming soon. With Thanksgiving Break coming at the end of Week 9 this year, we were excited to relax after eight weeks of hard work, but we know that Finals Week is looming.

1.)  HOME! HOME! HOME! (and by home I just mean my bed)

2.)  Home-cooked food, finally! It’s been months!

3.)  Oh yeah… I get to see my parents and siblings too!

4.)  And here comes the millions of questions about what I’m doing with my life.

5.)  Two words: Pumpkin. Pie.

6.)  Fighting for your wallet’s life in the modern day Hunger Games (aka Black Friday)

7.)  You catch a glimpse of your backpack for the first time in two days and look away as quickly as possible.

8.)  You aren’t prepared. School doesn’t exist. It’s break, right?

9.)  Look at your To-Do List but watch Netflix instead.

10.) Freak out because you were so happy and so full of food that you didn’t get any work done and now you have to go back to school for two weeks without pie and turkey and stuffing… Thanksgiving Break is such a tease.
