We danced. We sang. We played. We had an amazing time.
Extravaganza 2016 was one for the books; we had Odesza, Rae Sremmurd, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Zella Day, and Emancipator all in one day. The day was a perfect 80 degrees, and it seemed like everyone from UCSB was there. Nothing could stop us from grooving to the melodic sounds from Odesza or dancing with out friends. While we had the best of times, there were a few things that crossed out minds, some were good and some were bad. But, nonetheless, we thought them.
Here are some of the thoughts we had while at Extravaganza.
“Oh great, my view is blocked by yet another tall guy carrying an equally tall girl on his shoulders”
“Please don’t push in line, we all go in eventually”
“There should be a different system for getting into Extravaganza”
“Why am I so sweaty?”
“Put some deodorant on”
“Where are my friends?”
“Oh shit, my phone just died”
“I’m soooo hungry; I want to go to Freebirds”
“UCSB can’t have this many students”
“I have to pee, but where are the bathrooms?”
“I’m not leaving until I get my hotdog”
“Why am I suddenly claustrophobic?”
“Please, put a shirt on”
“Oh no, I feel myself getting sunburnt”
“Crap, I don’t know this song; I hope no one noticed that I am just singing the instrumentals”
