Why is this week different than all others? It's being kicked-off with the Super Bowl.

However, no matter the outcome of the Super Bowl, one thing will remain the same: Gaucho pride throughout campus.

The Super Bowl champions will remain a mystery until tomorrow evening, and some UCSB students are sure to be upset if their fanbase is loyal to the losing team. But by Friday, the football-crazed-hype will die down, and Giants and Patriots fans in Isla Vista will reunite to sing "Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole. Gauchos, Gauchos!" So enjoy your Super Bowl Sunday—but get ready for a sporty weekend on our very own campus.

Friday and Saturday are packed with athletic events on campus so get ready for some home-game hoorah! Here's the weekend schedule:

Friday, February 10th:
Men's Volleyball

• Women's Waterpolo Tournament in La Jolla, CA (Saturday, Feb. 11 and Sunday, Feb. 12)
• Softball Tournament in Tempe, Arizona (Friday, Feb. 10 through Sunday, Feb. 12)
