The Struggles of a Graduating Senior

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

So you’re a senior and despite only starting classes a day ago, graduation is rapidly approaching! Senior year definitely comes with its struggles, but it’s nothing we can’t handle. At the end of the day (and the year), we’ll be walking across that stage having accomplished so much. But first… we struggle. *cries*

  1. If I have to hear “so what are your post-grad plans” one. more. time.

Just let me avoid my future in silence, okay?!

2. We’re finally 21 but we actually have to study?

3. People already have jobs lined up? What the hell?

Cue internal freakout.

4. The senioritis has already begun…

5. People give you money as a grad gift, right? RIGHT?

6. To all the people going straight to grad school:

I may end up working retail but at least I won’t write another paper

7. When you’re stuck in that last GE class with all the freshies.

8. Your classes are smaller so you have to pretend you’re actually paying attention.

9. You start to realize how much you’re going to miss everyone.

10. So you have to make this the best year ever…

11. And actually make it to graduation!
