After composing myself and doing a little shimmy with my pants half mass I lunged for the sock unrolled it and threw it to an ever so lucky someone." Why should you win Mr. UCSB Freshman? "Buy my own theater, and probably buy an airplane." What has your most embarrassing moment so far at UCSB? "One time in the dining commons, during the first or second week of school, I tripped and dropped everything I was holding. The entire DLG stopped and clapped for me." Why should you win Mr. UCSB Freshman? "I am a great representation of this school and a nice guy that hopefully no one will have any problems with. Hope when people hear my name or see me, they get a smile on their face and know that they can hang out and be friends with me." CONTESTANT #4: SPENCER MOSS Name:  Spencer Moss Hometown: Newport Beach, CA  Potential Major: Mechanical Engineering Career Ambition: "Honestly, I’m still trying to find what drives me. I’m not necessarily concerned with a career that will leave me making a lot of money, I just want to be able to express my creativity and enjoy a lifestyle that consistently allows me to explore new things. Hopefully Engineering will fulfill that for me, but its certainly open to interpretation." Campus Involvement:  -Alpha Apsilon Pi fraternity (Aepi). -"Also, I’m a regular customer to the hot dog stand in the arbor. It’s just straight bomb and I’m glad to have supported such a fine eating establishment for 6 months now."   If you could brag about 3 things, what would they be? "Well, this is strange question for me to answer, but I suppose the 3 things I take pride in, or brag about, would be... -My ability to play to guitar, I’m not half bad ha. -My two older sisters, Ali and Leah. For sure the most fun, amazing, and caring girls I’ve ever met. They’ve taught me everything I know about girls and they own a shop on Ventura Blvd. so for some reason I think that’s cool to brag about. -I suppose the last thing would be my grades. Its been two quarters and I’m just straight rockin’ college.   What's your favorite pick up line? "My favorite pickup line is the old classic 'Hey, so I have this problem?...Well, there must be a mirror in your pants, because for some reason I can see myself in them!' I can't imagine it working at 10pm...that's more like a 12 to 1:30 pickup line." In high school, were you classified as the athlete, nerd, prom king, or boy next door, and why? "I suppose it’s a combination of the nerd, because I was always taking math and physics classes, and the boy next door because I was kind of quiet, but always cruising around with my shirt off, ditching class to go to the beach. "No idea, I don’t need it. I’d probably do the whole Oprah thing, or open up a company, outsource my employees in a developing country to stimulate economic growth, I feel that's the best thing we can do for the world." What has your most embarrassing moment so far at UCSB? "Getting completely undressed at a party on the dance floor." Why should you win Mr. UCSB Freshman? "I have no idea, this competition is hilarious so it;s kinda dope just to be nominated." CONTESTANT #5: DREY LIAUTAUD Name: Drey Liautaud Hometown: Pasadena, CA Potential Major: Business Econ. Career Ambition: something in the financial sector, possibly law school Campus Involvement: -Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity (SigEp) -"I'm hoping to be in AS (I have an upcoming interview)" If you could brag about 3 things, what would they be? -"I can sing pretty well." -"I have pretty good style!" -"I have a good, boyish charm." What's your favorite pick up line? "Roses are red, violets are blue, its cold outside, can I cuddle with you?" In high school, were you classified as the athlete, nerd, prom king, or boy next door, and why? "I was the musician. I was in a band and played lots of shows in Hollywood." CONTESTANT #6: VINCENT LORIS Name: Vincent Loris Hometown: Paris, France Potential Major: Undeclared for now. I have no idea, I am completely lost. Career Ambition: Musical Production Campus Involvement: -Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity (LXA) -one of the school's Jazz bands If you could brag about 3 things, what would they be? -"I'm from Paris, but I can speak perfect English with no accent, and I also speak French" -"I love breakdancing." -"I'm a musician, I play the drums and am a singer." What's your favorite pick up line? "I'm French." In high school, were you classified as the athlete, nerd, prom king, or boy next door, and why? -"A musician. I recorded 2 CD's. "One time, I was wearing a pair of boxers that I bought in florence (they look like the David statue--naked), and some sorority girls saw me and thought I was completely naked." Why should you win Mr. UCSB Freshman? "I think a foreigner should win an American competition!" CONTESTANT #7: MAX KUPFERMAN Name: Max Kupferman Hometown:Dana Point, CA Potential Major: BioPsych Career Ambition: Sports psychology or clinical psychology. I have lots of medical school, it's gonna be fun. Campus Involvement: -Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity (SigEp) -Rally Committee on AS to promote sports, etc. If you could brag about 3 things, what would they be? -"I'm Down to earth" -"I was the captain of the wrestling team in high school " -"I love to play guitar" What's your favorite pick up line? "I'm Max Kupferman, the 5'8 freak, and the boy with a charm, to make your knees go weak." In high school, were you classified as the athlete, nerd, prom king, or boy next door, or musician and why? CONTESTANT #8: BEN GREEN Name: Ben Green Hometown: Fairfax, California Potential Major: Polysci Major Career Ambition: lawyer, possibly songwriter Campus Involvement: Alpha Epsilon Pi (Aepi) fraternity If you could brag about 3 things, what would they be? -"I played guitar for 12 years and write my own music." -"I work out 5 times a week." -"I have a talent agent in San Francisco" What's your favorite pick up line? "Hey my name's Ben Green, and I'm a sex machine." In high school, were you classified as the athlete, nerd, prom king, or boy next door, musician, and why? "I played sports all 4 years...varsity baseball and tennis, but I also was in theater, and performed with my band." Finish these sentences... a. UCSB girls are the best because... "I'm really really ridiculously good looking!"
