Meet Sean Finck: The Most Romantic Man in Isla Vista

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

Searching for love? Romance? Perhaps a fun spring fling?

Well UCSB friends, look no further than this week’s volleyball playing Campus Cutie, Sean Finck!

Major: Political Science

Year: Sophomore

Hometown: Newport Beach

Extracurricular Activities: Zeta Psi Fraternity Social Chair, UCSB Inter-Fraternity Council VP of Activities, Men’s Club Volleyball

What is your ideal date?

My ideal date looks something like this…

I pick my lady up, whomever she may be, on a tandem bike with a picnic basket packed with Trader Joe’s finest grapes, gourmet cheese and crackers. We ride down to Sands over a bottle of Merlot listening to “Style” by Taylor Swift. And if I’m lucky? I get to kiss her on the cheek.

Have you been on a date in Isla Vista? If so, where? If not, why?

I have yet to be on a date in IV because I am saving my first time for that special someone.

Do you use dating apps like Tinder or Wyldfire?

Nah, I dont need those. Plus, I think it’s way more special to meet a girl unexpectedly, in person. I’m into the whole “spontaneous” thing. Some would even call me a hopeless romantic.

What’s the most romantic thing you’ve done for a girl?

One time in high school my lady friend had the flu so I bought her flowers, climbed up her deck in the middle of the night, wrote her a little love note and put the flowers next to her door. As I was leaving, I fell down the deck into her Mom’s roses and sprained my wrist, which was terrible for my volleyball game, but she was totally worth it.

Celebrity Crush:

Taylor Swift hands down. I would give anything to take her on my tandem bike date, fall in love, do something stupid to break her heart, then have her write a hit song totally ripping me to shreds.

Celebrity Look-alike:

People often compare me to Johnny Bravo. I take it as a compliment; he was a real hit with the ladies.

What do you look for the most in a woman?

Great personality, great parents.
