Dapsity: “The Tinder for Jobs”

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

While many college students are currently using iPhone apps like Tinder to find love, us seniors are using apps like Dapsity to find jobs. Nevertheless, the Dapsity app is very similar to the popular dating app “Tinder,” but instead of swiping through potential lovers, you’re swiping through potential jobs. Jarrod Swanson, the co-founder of Dapsity, designed the app specifically for college students to easily find and get internships or jobs upon graduating. You can literally swipe through a 100 jobs within a minute. What’s cool about Dapsity is the design allows for quick and easy access for finding jobs in almost any location (Dapsity is in over 50 countries too). While you’re walking to your next class, you could potentially find the dream job or internship for which you’ve been looking. At the very least, you can start getting a good idea of what the job market is currently like in your field.

When Jarrod graduated college a few years ago, he had no job lined up, and became immensely frustrated in his search. Jarrod eventually found an occupation, but it was one of the hardest things he has ever done. So, about a year ago Jarrod and his brother started work on Dapsity to solve this problem. Their goal: to simplify the mobile job search, and help people find their dream job. We spend 1/3 of our life working, yet over 70% are unhappy with their job. Life’s too short to not love what you do. Dapsity enables job-seekers to find what they love, without the headache of constant Craigslist searches, endless phone calls, and daily check-ins on the “Help Wanted” section of every newspaper.

Unique Dapsity Features:

  • Connect both LinkedIn AND Facebook. It’s all about Who you Know
  • Swipe right to Save jobs. Apply or Email jobs for convenience
  • Swipe left to delete unwanted jobs
  • Every search is an Advanced Search. No time wasted for irrelevant jobs
  • Job Cards. Quickly swipe through jobs one at a time

So, eliminate the stress of traditional job-searching, and visit your App Store to download Dapsity to easily and conveniently begin your career search today!
