Lauren's Beauty Blog: Sephora+Pantone Emerald ManicureBy April 30, 2013 - 12:54am Sephora has recently introduced their newest line of makeup and nail polish called Pantone Universe, and they chose Emerald as their color of the year. Naturally, I am drawn to this color because it’s my birthstone...but, seriously, the color is GORGEOUS. It’s a deep, rich green that is both sophisticated and trendy. I was looking around on Pinterest and saw the gold nail studs on a someone's "Manicure Board." I really liked the design, so I figured it would be a fun way to decorate my newest manicure...it was also a great way to procraste (midterms suck)! What You’ll Need: Sephora’s Emerald Polish, topcoat, basecoat, nail studs/jewels, and a toothpick or something to pick up the studs from the container.... |

Tales From Our Awkward LivesBy April 22, 2013 - 11:47am Grace and poise are two innate qualities that young ladies are expected to possess. Years of National Charity League tea parties and countless, painful Cotillions have taught us this. However, as we matured, these qualities did not seem to grow with us. Nevertheless, we are very optimistic people. As Chumba Wumba so eloquently chants, "I get knocked down, but I get up again." We like to think that all of the pathetic, everyday occurrences we experience could serve as entertainment to outside observers. As we shamelessly live our lives, toilet paper trailing off of our shoes and bird poop always seeming to find the tops of our heads, we can rest easy knowing that we are boosting the self-esteem of someone else out there.... |
