All The Single Ladies

With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, many single ladies around the globe are in a panic. I honestly don't understand why it's such a catastrophe to celebrate the holiday when you are single, and think it's a great day to spend with your friends. After all, this is college and we might as well make the most of our time being single on the town and having fun with our girlfriends! And, girls can make way more creative and cute valentines than any guy ever could.

So, if you aren't a lucky lady being wined and dined by a man thus Sunday, then here are some ideas to make sure that your Valentine's Day is better than ever.

Prepare A Special Meal
Get a group of your girlfriends together and come up with a list of all your favorite foods. All go to the store together and get the ingredients and go home to cook! Put on some loud music (preferably Britney or Spice Girls) and rock out. Each one of you and your friends can plan on a different component of the meal and you will have a feast.

You can't forget about dessert. In light of Valentine's Day, splurge with the chocolate. Chocolate dipped fruit is super easy and fun to make and tastes amazing! You don't just need romantic strawberries; apples and orange slices are yummy too. And cookie decorating is every girl's favorite passtime (besides shopping), so get out your cookie cutters, frosting, and pink and red sprinkles and you are set!

And of course, make sure to sip on some champagne while you're in the kitchen, and you and your stomach are bound to be happy.

Night In With The Girls
After you finish your amazing meal, rent a movie, lounge on the couch, and digest. Rent as many movies as you'd like, make sure the wine and champagne are chilled, and the night is yours. Some good options for this day are clearly chick flicks: 16 Candles, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, 500 Days of Summer, Clueless, Never Been Kissed, Legally Blonde, and Pretty Woman are among my favorites. Or you can just watch all 10 million seasons of Sex And The City!

Take A "Romantic" Walk On The Beach
We live in Santa Barbara and there is no rain the forecast for the weekend! Last year, me and a few of my friends did this and it was so fun. Walk up to Campus Point or any of the beaches in the area, and make sure you have your camera intact. Bring some snacks and have a picnic while gazing at water. It sounds romantic, but it is a great way to spend the day with your friends and is a picture-perfect spot for a cute photo shoot!

Movies

This is an especially perfect option for this year because the movie Valentine's Day is coming out and I know that you are all dying to see it! Personally, this will be in my plans for the day and I cannot wait. The plot looks great, there's tons of eye candy, and honestly...I couldn't think of a better Valentine than Ashton Kutcher, Bradley Cooper, Taylor Lautner, or Patrick Dempsey!
