5 Youtube Channels You Should Watch Right Now

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

YouTube, the website that we all hate to love. Whether we’re watching the newest up and coming beauty blogger, Jenna Marbles getting drunk, or Charlie biting the finger, this website sensation is the best way to procrastinate. Here are just a few channels that may be flying under your radar.

The dynamic actress and writer, Anna Akana, can get anyone laughing in her hysterical video blogs. Not only does Anna post weekly video blogs, but she has collaborated with Wong Fu Productions and stars in her own short films such as, “Riley Rewind.” I find that the best part of Anna’s videos is that she isn’t afraid to delve into serious topics as well. If you’re looking for a laugh or just some friendly advice, check her out.

Justin Flom literally has the magic in him. His YouTube channel is devoted to all his cool magic tricks. Not only is it super fun to watch, but you will often find yourself hitting the replay button a few times in amazement.

If you’re feeling a little girly and want to get your face on, check out Tanya Burr. This British gem uploads videos ranging from fashion vlogs to baking videos. Whether it be mastering the famous Blake Lively’s messy but fun hairstyle or accomplishing Selena Gomez’s immaculate makeup coverage, Tanya has got you covered.

For all the folks who enjoy a little spoken word, check out YouthSpeaks. They have hundreds of videos featuring some of the most talented and inspiring young poets.

And finally for all the pranksters check out the channel Whatever. Not only do they do some of the funniest pranks and social experiments, but the videos are located in none other than Santa Barbara’s college town, Isla Vista:
