Although we don’t need to walk through 6 inches of snow to get to class, and the leaves on trees have just barely changed colors, the ladies of UCSB have shown us the change in seasons by the way they walk. Let this be your guide to styling your ankle booties for this season’s fashion!
1. Jeans – Wear your ankle boots with some nice fitted jeans! It’s an excellent way to dress up or dress down. Throw on a blazer or a simple blouse; either way, you’ll be ready to strut your stuff whether you’re going to a casual dinner with your co-workers from the office or meeting a friend for coffee.
2. Leggings – Not really in the mood to “dress to impress”? Keep it casual, comfortable, and cozy. Leggings are perfect when you’re going to be running errands and you don’t want to be stuck wearing an uncomfortable pair of jeans. Pair your ankle boots with some black leggings to give it a sophisticated touch without trying so hard.
3. Dress – Going on a date with your crush? Meeting the in-laws for the first time? Or simply having a fun GNO? Have some fun styling your favorite ankle boots with a flare dress. Funky patterns or rocking a solid color are all great ways to add some personality to your outfit! Plus, showing some leg never hurt anyone!
4. Skirt – Trying to look sophisticated and professional without looking too overdressed? Pairing your ankle boots with a nice skirt will definitely do the trick! Pull off some major patters, different pair of colors or simply wear a solid color skirt to give your outfit the perfect chic look when you’re grabbing a bite with friends or going on a well-deserved shopping trip.
5. Shorts – Wearing your ankle booties with a pair of your favorite shorts will make State Street your own personal cat-walk. You can pair ankle boots with some cute shorts and tights underneath for those chilly nights out!
