What activities are you involved with?
I am currently the president of Kappa Alpha Theta and the Vice President of Programming for SUBOG. Next semester I have been chosed to be the president of SUBOG. I also work two jobs - as an Administrative Assistant at the Programs Office at UConn and as a student intern in the University Events Office.

What were your past positions in SUBOG?
My freshman year I was a member of the Major Weekends Committee. My sophomore year I was the chairperson of the Major Weekends Committee and this year I have served as the Vice President of Programming.

How are you able to maintain your grades, a social life, and being president of Kappa Alpha Theta and SUBOG?
I think it is important to remember that I come to school first and foremost to be a student. Excelling in my classes is very important to me, so school always comes first. I balance my social life with my other involvements by living by my planner. I write out my schedule of what I need to get done every day and stick to it. I'm a very organized person which helps!

What is your favorite part of being involved with SUBOG?
My favorite part of being involved with SUBOG is how much interaction I get to have with other student groups and campus administrators. Its great meeting new people ;and bringing everyone together to put on some amazing events.

What is your favorite part of being president of Kappa Alpha Theta?
My favorite part of being president of Kappa Alpha Theta is having the honor to represent and lead such an amazing group of women.

What is the hardest part of having being involved with several activities?
The hardest part of having two positions is when I need to be two places at once. It doesn't happen often but when it does, I always wish I could clone myself so I don't let one group of people down by not being there.

When you're not busy with school, Theta, and SUBOG, what do you like to do?
In my free time I absolutely love taking Zumba classes and skiing! I also love spending time with my sisters and boyfriend hanging out and watching movies. Whenever I need a break, I like to go home for a night and spend time with my mom and two kittens.

What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are to find a job doing something that I love. Right now I'm deciding between event planning, marketing, or grad school for higher education and student affairs. I think it's more important to be happy with what you do than to make a lot of money doing it.

Seeing as you've being appointed two awesome and important positions, what would your advice be for someone who is looking to get involved?
My advice for someone who is looking to get involved is that they definitely should! Try something new that takes you out of your comfort zone a bit because you never know how it will turn out!
