Kristen Bell, known for her role in “Frozen,” has recently spoken out in the media about her stance on mental health and it is important that everyone hears her message. Bell stresses the importance of seeking treatment for any mental health conditions and wants people to know that they should not feel any shame in reaching out for help. She thanks her mother for educating her on her family’s history of mental illness and letting her know that she should ignore the stigma that revolves around seeking help. Thanks to her mother’s advice, Bell was able to start a prescription to help with her anxiety and depression when she was younger and she still uses it to this day.

Mental health is just as important as physical health and even though you can’t see mental illnesses the way you can see physical illnesses, that does not mean that they don’t exist or don’t need to be treated. It’s important to talk about mental health in order to help break the stigma associated with it.
