Campus Cutie: Ruben Viramontes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

This week’s Campus Cutie is Ruben Viramontes. In between studying, studying, and more studying, you can find Ruben working on his fitness by running to Santa Monica, taking care of his succulents, or even taking artsy photographs around campus. He is a second year Physics major and also a peer mentor for Multivariable Calculus. He’s incredibly adorable and a bit dorky, as you’ll see in his responses below.

HC: Where are you from and what’s your favorite thing to do there?

RV: I’m from Van Nuys, California, and my favorite thing to do is to go get brunch on Ventura Boulevard where they have tons of places to get food.

HC: Is there any place you like to eat brunch in particular?

RV: My favorite on Ventura would have to be “More Than Waffles.” I haven’t tried their waffles yet, but they have good eggs benedict!

HC: Besides getting brunch, what are some other things you enjoy doing, like hobbies or passions?

RV: One of my favorite things to do is run. I don’t like running all the time, but it’s nice once in a while. I think getting ramen with my friends or just going to eat food in Westwood with them is something I enjoy, because it’s a nice break from school. You get to see the outside world, try different foods, and have a good time. I also like playing my violin and going on Tumblr, making sure that my aesthetic is on point.

HC:What’s your aestheitc?

RV: Like dark indie with like vibrant colors. I post a ton of pictures of nature, nice architecture, and colorful artistic paintings.

HC: Who’s your favorite artist and what song have you been jamming to lately?

RV: Recently I’ve been listening to Demi Lovato. I’ve always liked her. Her new album, “Confident,” came out and I think the best song is, “Cool for the Summer.” Like it’s super jamming and a super sexy pop song. Another song I like is called “Old Ways.” It’s sad at first, but once she hits the chorus it becomes powerful, and it pushed me through midterms last week.

HC: Anything you’d like to say to our readers?

RV: If you’re looking for a cutie, look no further! Hit me up at [Number ommited]! (Just kidding)

But actually, I hope you all have a great day. Peace and blessings to all.
