After a phenomenal season as point guard for the Bruins mens basketball team, freshman Lonzo Ball will be leaving UCLA to play basketball in the NBA. Our fellow Bruin will however remain in Los Angeles after being drafted #2 overall in the 2017 NBA Draft Class. Congratulations Lonzo!
The Los Angeles native attended Chino Hills High School, where as a senior he led the team to a state championship playing alongside his younger brothers LiAngelo and LaMelo. While here at UCLA, Ball won the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year award, and helped the Bruins reach the Sweet 16 in the NCAA “March Madness” tournament.
Ball’s younger brothers will also be attending UCLA starting with LiAngelo matriculating this upcoming Fall Quarter ’17 and LaMelo in 2019.
