Alex Aiono performed at the El Rey Theatre on Thursday Feb. 1, and we were lucky enough to be able to attend his sold-out show. At the age of twenty-one, the singer/ songwriter has already gone on his way to becoming a household name. Born in Arizona, Alex gained initial fame after posting “mash-ups” of popular songs on YouTube. Since then, he has earned himself a dedicated fan base of over 12 million active followers and subscribers.

It was thus no surprise that his show was filled with fierce excitement and support for the young singer. At one point during the concert, fans even brought out paper hearts with Alex’s name written on them. This sweet gesture showed how connected the fans felt to not only Alex’s music, but to him as well.

Throughout the night, Alex also took the time to express his gratitude by sharing positive messages. He explained how thankful he felt to simply perform, and would continuously mention how much he loved every one of his fans.

As for the performance, Alex kept the crowd energized with original performances and covers of popular songs such as “iSpy,” “One Dance” and “Finesse.” The concert featured special guests including artist Trinidad Cardona, Australian singer Will Singe and dancer Jade Chynoweth. Alex also sang some of his new original songs such as “Does It Feel Like Falling” featuring Trinidad Cardona, “One At A Time” featuring T-Pain, “Work the Middle” and “Question,” which had everyone singing along at the top of their lungs.

These original songs and others will be featured on Alex’s forthcoming debut album which will be released later this year. Meanwhile, this passionate musician is set to perform at a few more already-sold-out concerts to finish his Feels Like Tour.

Overall, Alex’s performance was truly incredible. A talented, yet humble artist, Alex Aiono is definitely a performer worth seeing in concert.
