It’s Week 3, which means that midterm season is already upon us. Wait, wasn’t it just 0 Week? What happened?! During the hectic fall quarter, nothing saves us quite like the HC Survival Kit. On Monday of Week 3, it was exactly what we needed. 

1. I wake up late. There’s no time to shower, but my hair is a mess of tangles and stale Cheetos. Like a pro, I grab my TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Sea Salt Spray & Perfectly (un)Done Wave Creation Sea Foam for the perfect casual look. Now it looks like I spent the morning chillin’ at Santa Monica beach instead of knocked out in bed.

2. Wait, my eyes look dreadful from too many long nights of studying. I need some makeup ASAP to rejuvenate my face. Uncapping the crayon-like shadow stick, I rub on some shimmer for instant beautification.

3. While I might look half-way decent despite my all-nighter cramming, I need some energy if I’m going to ace this midterm. Buuuut I don’t have time to swipe a Vanilla Latte at BCaf. Enter: 5-Hour Energy! Now it’s time to get rolling. Anything you got for me, send it my way, because I can conquer all things with a little bit of caffeine!

 

4. Okay, I’m on the way to class, right? I’m gorgeous, I’m energized, but something is missing… my pump-up pre-test song! Obviously “Shake it Off” is the way to go when getting your confidence up before a test. I grabbed my new 5-Hour Energy headphones so I can rock out while walking uphill to class in Bunche Hall. Nothing saves us before a midterm quite like the inexplicable joy of a great jam. 

 

5. During lunch, I notice that my throat starts to feel a little scratchy. I’m cold, sniffly, and tired. Please, please do not let me get sick right before midterm season! This cannot be happening. I chew up a tablet of Cold-Eeze in hopes that my illness will disappear sooner than it began. There is no way I’m going to make a trip to the Ashe Center so soon in the quarter. 

 

6. Finally, Monday of Week 3 is done with forever! I survived the day – almost. What’s for dinner? After a long morning getting ready, some time spent in the library, and conquering my first midterm, nothing ruins a day quite like needing to cook. I grab my roommate and head out to Chipotle in Westwood, because the HC Survival Kit included BOGO Chipotle cards. What a lifesaver! We dug into our steak burritos (with guacamole!) and smiled, because this survival kit is exactly what we needed to survive Week 3.
