5 Best (of the Worst) UCLA Date Spots

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

Even when you’re in the depths of midterms, don’t forget to plan romantic date nights with your significant other. If you have an S.O. you’ll want to do something on campus, like picnicking in the sculpture garden or visiting the planetarium. However, if you want a break from the typical UCLA date spots, here’s 5 last-minute date ideas that UCLA students recommended. If you’re totally out of ideas, use these Westwood destinations for a ~creative~ date night.

1. Hedrick Study

 Pros: Bougie brunch items.

Cons: “Good Luck finding a seat for two people”

           “No one even likes kombucha”

2. Ralph’s Bar

Cons:  “You’re literally at the grocery store”

“Do you need to get turnt to buy groceries?”

    “No…just no”

“Don’t go unless you’re already drunk”

Pros: You could probably buy great drunk snacks.

3. Powell Library

Cons: “What are you gonna do, reserve a study room?”

“You literally can’t talk to each other”

Pros: “You can stare deeply into each other’s eyes?”

“You can get your life together, together”

4. Swimming Pool at Sunset Rec

Cons: “Santa Monica is like a bus ride away”

“Watch out for the middle aged swimmers, they’ll run you down”

Pros: “Get fit together”

5. Wolfgang Puck

Cons: “While it’s nice on the inside, you have to walk through the hell that is Ackerman.”

           “No! Ew, why?”

Pros: There is no pro.
