*2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards* First-Ever Promo And Nominees

The 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards are coming soon and Her Campus at UCLA is so excited to present our readers with the first promo AND the list of categories and nominees. The MTV Movie & TV Awards is an annual film and television awards show aired on MTV. The show will present gender-neutral categories, recognizing the actors and stories that advanced pop-culture this past year.

American comedian and actress, Tiffany Haddish, will be the host of the night. The 30-second clip features the star donning a golden jumpsuit and bright lipstick. With her boots, she confidently kicks at her own red carpet, prompting it to spread out in front of her. In the background, she narrates, “If you want to make it in this business you gotta pay your dues. I slept in my car in Beverly Hills. I even hosted Bar Mitzvahs. You don't want another generic dude in a tux hosting a boring ass award show. You want the boss who paved her own way." Tiffany Haddish certainly projects girl power and we can’t wait to see this fierce woman host the star-studded, popcorn-filled ceremony.

As the MTV Movie & TV Awards will be held in the midst of the Emmy campaign season, Emmy® Award-winning producer and director Joel Gallen will be Executive Producer of the show. Having helped create this awards show, Gallen's return is highly anticipated.
