When he’s not busy cramming for a stats midterm at the Reg, Zeta Beta Tau President Justin Burns can be seen running around Hyde Park and taking part in campus’ many events. From the Lascivious Ball to Dance Marathon, the Psychology and Biology double major knows just when, and where, fun can be found.
Known for his million-watt smile and exuberant personality, Justin has frequently been asked to participate in the Greek community’s numerous events. Throughout his time at UChicago, he has been a repeat date auctionee for Splash! and aKDPhi, and competed as Mr. Zeta Beta Tau in this year’s Mr. University beauty pageant.
Aside from his work on campus, Justin also makes a point of doing philanthropic work that extends beyond the University’s borders. As a frequent volunteer at the Hyde Park Food Pantry, Justin gets the chance to interact with Hyde Park-Kenwood residents from all walks of life. When outside of Hyde Park, Justin can be found picking up donations for the local women and children’s shelter in his home Chicago neighborhood.
