Students Make the Visual Arts Building Their Personal Canvas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

The UCF campus is no stranger to modern art, with our large metal french fries outside the library or the dramatic and otherworldly red chairs next to the Performing Arts Center, students know a good artistic lawn ornament when they see one. However, there are some more sublte artistic touches on this campus that give the university a little extra flair as well. Pictured below is a photo some simple flowers painted onto one of the exterior walls of the Visual Arts building (VAB). While it does not have the same grandeur as some of the larger art pieces on campus, what it lacks in size it makes up for in sheer character.

Students who take classes in VAB are no doubt some of the most creative Knights around, and there are other aspects of the building besides this floral graffiti to prove it. Next time you are on that side of campus, drop into the Visual Arts building and take a walk through the UCF Art Gallery on the main floor. The gallery has different exhibits and events all year round and admission is completely free.
