Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

I enjoy Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I say this in all honesty; not to invite criticism, make a point, or use it as proof to reaffirm the craze. I say this because Pumpkin Spice Lattes taste good. Just like Vanilla Lattes taste good, and Caramel Frappes, and hot chocolate with extra marshmallows and all other warm, comforting drinks that are laden with enough sugar to make me wince with every sip. I love cinnamon, and I think nutmeg is the bomb.com, so pumpkin spice was the logical conclusion to my sweet tooth and early morning need for caffeine. I’m not going to turn my nose up at the most comforting taste of the season, friends—but I’m also not going to put it in my Hummus.

Does this mean people should openly enjoy them? Of course! Should there be pumpkin spice flavor cream cheese? Ehh, that’s a matter of opinion, but I’m going to go with no.

That being said, a craze gains popularity because the subject is, well, popular. So, rather than roll your eyes at the annual mainstream delectable of the season, I invite you to partake in the tasty traditions of the fall season, starting with the good ole’ PSL. How do I do this, you ask? You’ve come to the right place! The following local spots offer some pretty tasty treats, during the fall: check if any are available near you!
