Gather those pom-poms, get your stunts ready and practice your jumps because Alpha Delta Pi’s annual Cheers for Charity is among us. What is Cheers for Charity? It’s a cheer competition that wholeheartedly benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida, Alpha Delta Pi’s national philanthropy. The Ronald McDonald House helps support families with children who are critically ill or injured. Get your planners out, because Alpha Delta Pi has tons of rewarding and delicious (yes delicious) events hitting the University of Central Florida leading up to Cheers for Charity.
One of the most popular fundraising events leading up to Cheers for Charity is Alpha Delta Pi’s annual Pizza at the Pi. A day the University of Central Florida community is invited into the Alpha Delta Pi house for a delicious dinner. If you love pizza, and want to participate in a gratifying cause scurry on over to the Alpha Delta Pi on Monday, April 7th from 5 to 7pm. Spoiler alert: This year Lazy Moon will be catered, so grab your wallets! Who said you couldn’t eat pizza for charity?
If for some reason you couldn’t make it to Pizza at the Pi, don’t worry. There’s still have another opportunity for you to help the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Members of Alpha Delta Pi will be tabling at the Student Union on Tuesday, April 8th from 10am to 1pm where you can drop off pop-tabs and donations. Don’t forget pop-tabs and donations are calculated into the competition for participating organizations. So start collecting!
Finally, Cheers for Charity will be taking place April 9th at the UCF Venue. The competition will begin at 7pm sharp, but make sure to come on over a little earlier because doors open at 6pm. It is first come, first serve at the venue! At Cheers for Charity there will be exciting prizes being raffled off for a suggested donation of $1 as well as families who will share stories of their experiences with the Ronald McDonald House.
Clearly, there’s a busy week ahead of us, but all for a truly gratifying cause. Get ready for a fun filled week of Alpha Delta Pi and the Ronald McDonald House. Let’s ‘bring it on’ for the children and their families!
