Bohemian State of Mind

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

The Bohemian style is really more of a state of mind than it is a fashion trend. Bohemian is like the modern “hippie,” emulating peace, love and vintage clothes. This collegiette does this look justice with her carefree yet chic approach to this popular trend.

I spotted Kathryn Tromba working at the Old Soul Fashion House booth at market day in front of the Student Union. There was something about the way she layered her outfit that made her stand out from the crowd. Between the flannel shirt, graphic tee, and cream-colored socks, her outfit looked like something right out of a catalog.

I could list dozens of websites that offer this look, but I would like to challenge my Stylish Collegiettes this week to step out of their comfort zone and go out and find some great finds close to home. There are lots of hidden gems around Orlando that sell one-of-a-kind vintage clothes that are perfect for your Bohemian look.

One of my favorite local vintage boutiques is Etoile Boutique. Support local businesses and embrace this free-spirited look! Tweet your favorite Bohemian look to @HerCampusUCF with hash tag #StylishCollegiette. WERK!
