On May 7th, 2018, Fashion and the Catholic Imagination took the carpet. The Met Gala 2018 was not only the place for fierce and stunning looks from some of our favorite celebrities, but it was also the place for power couples and duos alike gathered to come for our entire existence. Here are the looks that we didn’t know we needed until last night. Hold on to your wigs because they’re about to be gone.
1. George and Amal Clooney
Amal was a co-host at the Met Gala, and boy did she come to represent. With her stylish and loving husband by her side, these two caught our eyes and stole our hearts.
2. Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse
Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper, shouldn’t you two be in Riverdale? It looks like this Riverdale couple is just as adorable off-screen as they are on-screen.
3. Lana Del Rey and Jared Leto
The woman that brought us Young and Beautiful and the man that brought us the Joker team up to bring us headpiece for the Gods.
4. Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen
When they’re not on the field or on the runway, these two are gracing us with their elegance.
5. Letitia Wright and John Boyega
Black Panther and Star Wars meet and create a union we didn’t see coming. They complimented each other as well as captivated the red carpet.
6. Shawn Mendes and Hailey Baldwin
A musician and a model walk into the Met Gala and give us all the feels. Please have mercy on me because these two are the cutest!
7. Sarah Jessica Parker and Andy Cohen
Sex and the City meets radio host in New York to steal the show with her amazing Catholic-inspired gown.
8. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
Alex definitely hit a home run with Jennifer by his side. It’s no wonder these two can’t keep their eyes and hands off of each other.
9. Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner
These new parents didn’t waste any time getting back on the red carpet. Kylie might’ve just had a little Stormi, but you can’t even tell.
10. Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski
This mean girl was dripping with beauty and grace and all things royalty with her handsome prince by her side.
These power couples left us with our jaws dropped and awes echoing for all to hear. We can’t wait for next year to see what they bring to the table. All I know is that our wigs will be snatched from all of the slayage that’s coming our way in 2019.
