So it’s week six of the quarter, and you’re feeling overwhelmed and stressed. It’s super easy to forget to make time to relax and take care of yourself. Here are some things to do to take a mental break during your hectic quarter!

1. Have a “self-care” night

No matter how many midterms, papers, or projects you have due the next week, try to allocate one night of staying in to watch a movie or show in bed. Or light some candles, put on some relaxing music and take a hot bath! Throw on a facial mask while you’re at it—your skin will thank you!

2. Retail therapy

Go on a shopping trip with your friends and go wild! Purchase those items that have been sitting in your online shopping cart! You’ll get to experiment with outfits once your clothes and accessories arrive, and that gives you something to look forward to at the end of the day! A little retail therapy never hurt anyone.

3. Get a mani/pedi

Got through round two of midterms? Treat yourself to a mani/pedi at your fave nail salon. Cute nails, hand and foot massages, good-smelling scrubs and lotions…need I say more?

4. Plan a weekend getaway

Go on a fun trip with friends to any destination! It’s good to get away from school sometimes and see fresh new faces. You won’t regret the lasting memories you’ll make with your friends.

School can be really stressful—always remember to take of yourself first. Hopefully this article gave you some ideas to practice a little TLC during the school year!
