How to Have a Great Workout without Going to the Gym

With back-to-back classes, long work shifts, and homework grinds, it’s incredibly difficult for the busy collegiette to find even an second of time to work out. Trying to go to the ARC for a workout is a noble task that definitely requires a slice of time that sometimes you just can’t give. Picking a workout outfit, getting to the ARC and back (which depending on your proximity can take up to 30 mins each way), and actually doing a workout eats up a pretty big chunk of the day.

But getting that daily workout into your routine is essential! It’ss good for the body and mind and actually makes your time spent studying or working more effective and more positive.

In order to get my workout in for the day without having to go to a physical gym, I decided to give workout videos a try. I wasn’t sure if I’d feel the same satisfaction after the video as I do after a hard sesh at the gym or if it would be too cramped to try and workout in my room. But after a week of videos, I was addicted. I discovered that there are thousands of videos online, each helping you target a different part of your body. The videos also come in different time lengths. Whether you’re looking for a quick 5-10 minute video for that time in between homework assignments or a full length, hour-long video, look to Youtube or other video sharing sites to search through a wide selection of videos! Most videos don’t require a huge amount space and some do’’t even require you to wear shoes. I do my workouts in my room, by cleaning off my floor and propping up my laptop on my bed. 

If you’re looking for a new way to work out, get fit, and even do an activity with friends in a low-cost, super convenient way, then I highly recommend these workout videos!
